RFI talks to Mae Azango, an award-winning investigative journalist from Liberia. She isn't afraid to tackle some tough issues in her investigations. Her most famous investigations surround the taboo subject of female genital mutilation in Liberia. Mae had to go into hiding for three weeks with her daughter after her articles were published in 2012 but she continues her work.
