India has had a thriving diaspora in different parts of Africa and in some countries for more than a century. The Indians in Africa are now happy with their African identity. And likewise many Africans, especially entrepreneurs have made India their home. The upcoming India African Forum Summit in New Delhi could well serve as a crucial springboard to a more intense and mutually beneficial strategic engagement. India has made its mark in sectors like education, health and e-governance and this is bound to increase in the coming years.
