Negative outweighs positive in US presidential election

In just under five months, all eyes will be on the United States and its presidential election in November. The fight is already well under way on the nation’s airwaves. The so-called swing states are being especially targetted  with campaign adverts that are increasingly negative in tone. In the states that could vote for either party, an attack on one’s opponent is turning out to be more effective that a positive take on why one candidate is beter than the other.
