Brazil is considered one of the most violent countries in the world. Over 50-thousand people are murdered every year but only 4-thousand of those cases are ever solved. Various attempts to bring down the country's crime levels have failed. Now, many of the legislators in Brazil 's newly-elected conservative congress want to try a new approach: reducing the age of criminal consent. RFI reports from Rio de Janeiro in the final part of our series on Brazil 's social transformation.
