An article written in UK daily The Guardian revealed the content of over 3,000 emails hacked from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's personal account. Some emails showed that Assad was receiving advice from Iran or its proxies, on how to repress the uprising. They also show his wife Asma al-Assad spent thousands of euros on jewellery in Paris. Dr Alan George, of St Anthony's College Oxford University and author of Syria:neither bread nor freedom, spoke to RFI.
